Eco Ambassador Summer Program: Storytelling with ArcGIS StoryMaps
Event Information
About this event
As part of the Eco Ambassador Summer 2021 program on "Life Below Water: Storytelling with ArcGIS", this session will guide participants to learn and practice the basics of using the ArcGIS StoryMaps platform to build compelling stories around your data, including using the maps you've been working on with ArcGIS Online!
We'll have a team of storytelling experts guide the session, and will cover both broad storytelling skills, as well as step-by-step guidance and practice using the ArcGIS StoryMaps platform, including:
- Andrew Revkin - Founding Director, Initiative on Communication & Sustainability, Earth Institute, Columbia University
- Brighton Kaoma - Global Director, UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network - Youth
The session will be moderated by:
- Dr. Radhika Iyengar - Director of Education at the Center for Sustainable Development
We'll also include time for participants to share their storytelling ideas and ask questions in small groups.
In preparation for the workshop, we suggest participants review the StoryMaps content on our Eco Ambassador Summer 2021 Learn Path, "ArcGIS StoryMaps: Storytelling that Resonates", and "Plan and Outline your StoryMap".
If you missed our previous sessions or would like a refresher, we encourage you visit our YouTube Playlist of workshop sessions to date, including our session on Discovering Existing SDG 14 Resources, and Getting Started with ArcGIS. We look forward to learning with you!
