About this event
eCircuitry camp will integrate the exploration of electrical circuits and the art of paper circuitry with the craft of writing to allow self expression by connecting technology, art, and writing. Students will inquire into the science of light to illuminate their thinking and their writing using paper circuits.
eCircuitry Camp experiences will include:
- exploration of the basic science of light, conductivity, and current flow
- simple circuit design
- constructing mechanical switches
- storytelling through words, images, and light
- inquiry into light and color and its impact on words and thoughts
- experimentation with writing styles and strategies
For students entering grades 5-8. Cost is $250 (includes all materials). $50 non-refundable processing fee included. Eventbrite service fees included.
In compliance with the University of California San Diego's COVID-19 Mandate, full vaccination* against COVID-19 is required to participate in this program.
*Fully Vaccinated: A person is considered “fully” vaccinated when two weeks have passed since they completed a COVID-19 Vaccine series (for example, 1 dose of the Janssen/J&J vaccine, or 2 doses within no more than 12 weeks of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine); as well as any boosters consistent with manufacturer instructions and applicable agency approval, authorization, or listing.
The only vaccination exemption for this camp is a medical exemption.

Registration Deadline Registration deadline is July 11. Minimum enrollment must be met to offer this program.
