The ECDOH is providing a training of trainers in the "Erie Co Dept of Health Opioid Overdose Recognition & Naloxone Use" curriculum

About this Event

The Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) is providing a Training of Trainers certification class in the "Erie Co Dept of Health Opioid Overdose Recognition & Naloxone Use" curriculum. Class participants must have completed a New York State Public Health Law section 3309, NYCRR Section 80.138 compliant Opioid Overdose Recognition & Naloxone Use personal class within the previous calendar year to participate.

Persons completing this course will be certified to train others in the use of naloxone (Narcan), and provide certification under the New York State program.

About this Event

The Erie County Department of Health is offering FREE training.

Individuals will leave the training with the ability and knowledge to instruct others in:

- how to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose

-how to properly administer naloxone

- know what the necessary follow-up steps

- reporting requirements

Please note that preregistration is required.

Registrants will be notified by email of the cancellation due to weather or other emergency situations . Please bring proof of completion of the New York State Public Health Law section 3309, NYCRR Section 80.138 compliant Opioid Overdose Recognition & Naloxone Use personal class.
