Event description

Description

Crossing Borders and the Korean American Coalition of Chicago present Eat for North Korean Refugees. This one of a kind event will feature the best Korean food in Chicago under one roof.

Chef Will Song from bopNgrill will be showcasing food from his soon-to-be-opened new restaurant. Chef Will Song will be joined by acclaimed restaurants and chefs such as Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Kimski and Chef Julie Yoon to help North Korean refugees.

North Koreans need help. We all know this. But finding a practical way to help them seems near impossible.

Crossing Borders helps North Korean refugees who are hunted down, trafficked and oppressed in China. China represents the largest population of North Koreans outside North Korea with a population estimated to be about 200,000.

We want to make it simple for you to help. All you have to do is show up and eat.

On October 13 at 6 p.m., Crossing Borders and the Korean American Coalition of Chicago are hosting an exclusive event, Eat for North Korean Refugees. We've invited renowned chefs from the Chicago area to cook Korean and Korean-inspired food. Beer and cocktails are included.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to provide vital aid and support to North Koreans and their children in China.

To see more info and bios of the chefs in attendance, please go to our event page.

Space is limited and tickets for the event will only be pre-sold online. This is an all-ages event.
