Eastern Europe at a Crossroads: A Conversation with Mr. Landsbergis
Overview
The war in Ukraine is entering its fourth year. Despite enormous challenges, Ukraine has not been defeated—developing new weapons, strategies, and resilience in the face of unrelenting attacks. At the same time, Russia is escalating its reach - with drone operations extending deeper into Eastern Europe - raising urgent questions about the security of the region and the readiness and commitment of NATO allies. Some observers note unsettling parallels between Europe in 1939 and Europe in 2025.
Join former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis and Davis Center Executive Director Steven Solnick for a wide-ranging conversation about the looming threat from Russia, the current state of NATO, recent security breaches in the Baltic States, Poland, and Denmark, and what these developments mean for the region's future. Together, they will explore whether Europe is being inexorably drawn toward a broader global conflict—or whether there is still a path to avoid it.
