Business Skills- Accounting
This contest is for students who have one year of high school accounting instruction or its equivalent. An objective-type test will be given focusing on financial accounting. In case of a tie the last 10 questions will be used to break tie. (Allow Approximately 50 minutes) Business attire is optional. Location: HTC-Computer Commons, Room 102. "Come and Go". Questions? Business Skills Contest- Business Calculations
Each school may enter three students or teams of 2-3 per contest. Teams are composed of 2 and not more than 3 students per contest unless directed differently in individual contest information. Each student may enter in a maximum of three business contests. Open lab 9:00-11:50 a.m. Allow 50 minutes. "Come and Go" This contest is suitable for grades 9-12. Judges will not see attire.

Computer Contests- Microsoft Excel 2010
A one hour objective test will be administered. Student will be expected to apply knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel 2010 to real-world tasks such as formatting a spreadsheet in a specific way, creating a formula, or sorting a list. This is not a paper and pencil test; you will be working with a live or simulated version of Excel. (Allow 55 minutes)

Sorry- registration has now closed. However, to make changes in your registration, advise us of ineligibles who will not be able to attend, any communication please send to gayrene.claridge@eac.edu. I am more than happy to assist you in any way. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Eastern Arizona College is hosting their 39th annual Skills Day competition for high school students. This a FREE activity. A continental breakfast is hosted by Admissions and lunch is hosted by EAC's President, Mark Bryce. There is no registration fee but every student and adult must register to obtain an accurate lunch count. T-shirts are given to each high school participant. Contests are held in Allied Health (CPR on Resusci Anne), Art, Automotive, Business, CAD-Drafting, Chemistry, Computers, Graphic Design, Languages (French and Spanish), *new* Text Message Jeopardy, Welding, and Woodworking. There are 4 new contests and 5 new activities, and one new open house this year. To register, please contact your high school's CTE Director or a designated person. You can print all fliers for competitions. There has been a QR code added at the bottom of all fliers to allow direct access from smart phones, etc.

There will be an awards ceremony from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. We respectfully ask you to stay until all awards have been presented to support all students in all contests.

Skills Day Website is www.eac.edu/skillsday. The Skills Day at-a-glance is located there and can be helpful. Please, NO student observers. All students must register so we can provide a name tag, continental breakfast, lunch, and an oh-so-cool Skills Day t-shirt.

If you have any students who are sending work to be judged but will not attend in person, please email Barbara Gojkovich at barbara.gojkovich@eac.edu. Please keep us advised when your registration numbers change for any reason.
