Downtown Manhattan's East Village is one of NYC's most beloved neighborhood's for good reason--just to name a few, it's home to one of the world's most renown centers of architectural study, a 163 year old bar, was the center of the punk rock scene and Nuyorican literary movement, and even holds a cemetary where United States President was buried.

This 2.5 hour walking tour takes you through the history, sights, and sounds of the East Village--from the counter-culture movements generated in St. Mark's Place and Tompkins Square Park to revered old world bakeries and diners, this tour is excited to showcase the rich history of a neighborhood that means so much to so many.

Meeting Info:

-Tour meets at at Cooper Triangle, a short walk from the Astor Place 6, 8th Avenue/NYU N/R, and Broadway Lafeyette B/D/F/M trains.

-Tour concludes at Astor Place, a short walk from the same trains :)

**There is no charge for this tour, but tips are suggested**
