Event Details

Leaders of East Texas nonprofit organizations are invited to learn more about fundraising and organizational performance and management during a two-day conference, Oct. 20-21, at Angelina College.

The East Texas Nonprofit Leadership Conference, hosted by Angelina College, United Way of Angelina County, TLL Temple Foundation, OneStar Foundation and AT&T, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20-21. Participants will engage with other members of nonprofit organizations in workshops led by faculty from the Bush School of Public Service at Texas A&M University. The topics of the workshops are Organizational Performance Management, Strategic Management and Planning, Organizational Performance Management, and Fundraising.

  • After the final workshop on Friday, the TLL Temple Foundation will hold a bonus session, Partnering with the TLL Temple Foundation: An Overview of the Strategic Plan and Grant Funding.

  • A VIP reception will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, in the Temple Theater on the Angelina College campus.

  • The cost to attend the VIP reception and both days of the conference is $50. Breakfast and lunch on both days are included in the cost of registration.

A limited number of lunch tickets may be purchased separately by individuals who will not attend the other conference activities. Guest speakers and panelists will lead discussions on topics related to nonprofit leadership during the lunch sessions on Friday and Saturday. Lunch tickets are not required for attendees who pay the $50 registration fee. The cost of a lunch ticket for a single day is $10.

The workshop sessions on Friday and Saturday are interactive, so individuals who register are asked to attend on both days. To allow the participation of a variety of nonprofit organizations, please limit conference registrations to 4 individuals per organization.

Conference check-in on Friday morning will open at 8:00 a.m. in the Gymnasium on the AC campus. Free parking will be available in the nearby Activity Center parking lot.
