About this event
Welcome to the East of England Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society Annual Meeting. Join us for an afternoon filled with insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and a keynote adress from Professor Jacky Nizard from the Sorbonne Univeristy in Paris. The meeting will blend research presentations from resident doctors, a menopause update from Dr Paul Simpson (BMS Chair elect), an address from the East of England Medical Director and past RCOG president Mr Eddie Morris, presentations on ultraradical surgery and HIPEC from Mr Timothy Duncan (consultant gynaecological oncologist at NNUH) and robtic surgery in gynae cology from Dr Xiaomang Stickles (consultant gynaecological oncologist at NNUH) and a keynote address from Professor Nizard entitiled: Managing cardiac disease in pregnancy: the Paris experience. The event will be held at the Bob Champion Research & Education Building at Norfolk and Norwich Univeristy Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The event is free to attend for all member of the East of England Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society (EAOGS). Membership is £20/year for consultants and £10/year for resident/SAS doctors paid by standing order- you can sign up to the society beforehand or on the day of the meeting. We are aiming for the meeting to provide a conducive environment for learning and collaboration for consultants, resdients and SAS doctors in obstterics and gynaecology working across the region.
We look forward to welcoming you to Norwich on November 7th. Registration for the meeting is from 1030, with a start time of 1100, lunch is between 1310-1410. the meeting will conclude at 1705.
In the evening there will be a formal dinner at Park Farm Hotel on the outskirts of Norwich (Park Farm Hotel & Leisure | Country Hotel in Norwich Norfolk) This is a 10 minute drive from the hospital and has ample parking and rooms for overnight stays if needed. Tickets are £72/head including welcome drink, canapes and three courses, coffee. Email your menu choices and who you would like to sit with to EAOGSDinner@outlook.com and send your payement to the EAOGS bank account via bank transfer (BACS).
Each table seats up to 11 people and we have capacity for more than 132 guests.

If you want to stay at the hotel, which is 2 minutes drive from the A11, rooms are available at a concessionary rate of 10% dicsount- call the hotel directly to book and get a discount.
Call for abstracts
If you would like to submit an abstract to be presented at the meeting please email this as a Word Document to EAOGSmeeting@outlook.com by the 30th September 2025. Sucessful presenters will be notified by 7th October. The abstract must be in the format: title, introduction, methods, results, conclusions. Max word count 300 (excluding title), plus one table or image (not included in word count). Please include all authors and affiliations. A small scientific committee will score the abstracts blinded and the best six will be presented at the meeting. If we have a large number of abstracts we will arrange for a poster competition as part of the meeting for those not selected to be presented as an oral presentation. The best six abstracts will be selcted for presentation at the meeting with a prize of £250 for the best oral presentation.

Yes- but you can join on the day. If you work in maternal medicine and wish to attend to hear Professor Nizard's speech and you are not an O and G doctor in the region, you will be welcome to attend as a non-member as long as you register for the meeting so we are aware of numbers
