Brisbane International Network's founder Renee Choong Lehmann is host for the evening. She's a notable PR and media specialist that has launched global brands in Asia. In December 2015, having just arrived in Brisbane for two months, she started this community group - Brisbane International Network. From a handful of people who meet regularly for a cuppa and mingle, the membership grew to over 1,000 people in mid 2017.

Today, Brisbane International Network is a recognised business community that brings together entrepreneurs and visionaries from different cultural backgrounds.

More are in place for members in 2018. With a brand new business portal kicking off, members will have access to information and assistance in getting their start-up or business off the ground.

Program of the night include an inspiring story by Josh Taylor of Rattle & Hum Coffee Roasters. Josh will share with us his journey from being a tradesman in Australia to selling and opening coffee shops in Arizona, USA. He has travelled to coffee producing countries like Brazil, Colombia, Africa and Guetamala and lived with farmers there. He learnt the whole process of seed to cup: from planting, nurturing, harvesting to roasting the beans. His next goal is to expand his business in Asia, and Brisbane International Network is eager to lend a hand in preparing his coffee label - Rattle & Hum for the largest regional coffee expo in Singapore.

Another presentation for the night is a brief information sharing by Angela Julian-Armitage, Immediate Past National President of the Migration Institute of Australia. She will present a topic on the current state of Migration Law and the direction it is heading in. Angela collaborates with Maree Elliott of Holt Durham Migration Services (HDMS) in providing visa services. Maree has 25 years’ experience in the migration profession, initially as an officer with the then named Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs.

For those who have visa issues, both Angela and Maree are available on that night to provide some advice.

So come and join us this December 08 and network with this inspiring business community!

2018 Membership is open for registration on that night too.
