Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Four London Hospices are coming together to put on the first ever East London Bubble Rush at the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Sunday 21 May 2017. The Bubble Rush is a brand new concept of 5k runs that has been created to have a good clean run with four fun bubble stations along the way. This is an event not to be missed!

Bubble Rush is a fun run with a difference – it features lots of coloured bubbles!

The 5k course starts in a sea of bubbles and features four Bubble Stations along the route where our cannons pump out coloured bubbles. The course is family friendly, so you can run, jog, walk or toddle through the foam. You can even dance if you want to! The most important thing is that you enjoy your time in the bubbles.

Don’t worry if you are not a runner because the course is not timed. Bubblers do it for fun with friends and children – and everyone gets a medal at the end.

Check out this gallery to get an idea of what it's like to take part in the frothiest event in the world.

Purchase your tickets and come along on the day, or choose to fundraise for the four amazing hospices organising the East London Bubble Rush and receive BIG discounts on your entry fee! All the funds raised by the East London Bubble Rush support hospice care for children and adults across East London and Essex, and will be split equally amongst all four hospices.

The Hospices

Our hospices deliver services for adults and children across a wide area of London and Essex. Together we deliver care to over 4,300 patients every year. We care for patients in our hospices and in their homes. The funds raised by the Bubble Rush will support the vital work and services that each hospice offers.

Haven House Children's Hospice is based in Woodford Green, and provides services for life-limited children across 11 London boroughs, and areas of West Essex and East Hertfordshire. More info.

Richard House Children's Hospice cares for children with life-limiting or life-threatening health conditions in Newham, Tower Hamlets, City and Hackney, Waltham Forest and Barking and Dagenham. More info.

Saint Francis Hospice cares for adults with life-limiting illnesses in Havering, Brentwood, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge and West Essex. More info.

St Joseph's Hospice is based in Hackney and cares for people with serious, life-limiting illness in the City of London and Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest and four other London boroughs. More info.

Event FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is very limited parking in the local area. We advise that all participants travel using public transport. The nearest stations are Stratford and Stratford International station by tube or rail, and a number of local buses serve Stratford town centre and the stadium. Our stewards will be on hand to direct you to the Olympic Park and the start area. Please be aware that this is around a 10 minute walk.

You can view all Stratford TFL information here.

What happens to the money that is raised from this event?

All the funds raised by the East London Bubble Rush will be split equally between the four hospices organising the event - Haven House Children's Hospice, Richard House Children's Hospice, Saint Francis Hospice & St Joseph's Hospice. By taking part in this event you are supporting Hospice care across a wide area of London, Essex and parts of East Hertfordshire.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

There is no minimum age to take part in the Bubble Rush! All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. You may also wish to carry very young children through the bubbles rather than letting them run through.

What can I bring into the event?

Please bring anything to the event that you need including warm clothes to change into afterwards! Please note that no one under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be allowed to take part. Please do not bring alcohol to the event with you - there are lots of great places to go for a drink nearby after the event!

What's the refund policy?

We cannot offer any ticket refunds on this event.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Your registration fee is non transferable. You may give your ticket to someone else but if you have selected a fundraising ticket please be aware that you are still liable for the fundraising target.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

This is fine, as long as they are still the same category (e.g. an adult cannot use a childs ticket).
