Join us for a Hudson River loop ride on the EAST COAST GREENWAY!
*This year there will be two starting points:
START For NJ residents: Meet at the Hoboken14th St. Ferry at 8:45AM to get the 9:02 ferry to NY (note, maximum of 10 bikes per ferry, next ferry is at 9:22 AM).
START For NY residents: Meet at Blazing Saddles at Pier 84 @ 43rd St. and 12th Ave in Manhattan at 9:00AM. We will leave from Pier 84 at 9:30 AM.
END: Hoboken, NJ or Manhattan, NY
Join us for a 20-mile loop bicycle ride on the East Coast Greenway from Pier 84 in Manhattan along the Hudson River Greenway north to and across the George Washington Bridge into NJ and then south along the Hudson River Greenway's NJ sections down to Hoboken.
Those needing to return to Manahttan may do so by Ferry*, PATH train*, or by cycling back over the GW Bridge. The ride will be at a very easy pace of between 8 and 10 MPH. This will be our 9th annual Hudson Loop ride. It is very popular and with good reason, its a beautiful and fun ride! There is a long steep uphill approaching the GWB, and a steep on-road downhill leaving the GWB going back to the riverfront. Bikes must have good brakes and multiple geared bikes are recommended.
Parking is available on the street as well as in parking garages in Hoboken at the beginning of the ride.
Need to rent a bike? Our start location is at Blazing Saddles, which rents bikes. They open at 9AM.
* Each rider is responsible for the cost of their transportation back to Manhattan.
We usually ride rain or shine but if the weather is particularly unpleasant, you will receive a cancellation email at 7:00AM on the day of the ride.
