Walk twenty colorful and scenic miles of the Greenway from College Park, Maryland through Washington to Old Town Alexandria.
Highlights include many miles along the Anacostia and Potomac Rivers, a journey through downtown DC past the monuments and tidal basin, and through Old Town Alexandria. The Metro in Alexandria will deliver us back to our starting point.
Start: College Park Metro Station (Green Line)
Finish: Alexandria King Street - Old Town Metro (Yellow Line)
Distance: 20mi
Where to find us: College Park Metro station entrance on bus stop side
Terrain: paved, gravel
Transit: Metro green line
Return: King Street-Old Town Metro (Yellow Line) back to College Park Metro Station (Green Line) You will need to switch lines at Fort Totten.
