Description

Join the Portland Metro STEM Partnership and Population Education for an interactive, 3-hour professional development workshop for secondary (6th-12th) science and math educators. Explore strategies to teach about global challenges and sustainable solutions while utilizing real world data in your secondary classroom.

Discover timely, interdisciplinary activities that help students understand the connections between human population growth and a host of environmental challenges while incorporating STEM education.

Presented activities use role-playing, representational models, group problem-solving, and simulation games to explore the social and environmental impacts of human population growth. All participants will receive a standards-aligned curriculum CD-ROM with 60+ lesson plans!
