The Earth Energy Gathering
"The Earth Energy Gathering, a global music event, Saturday May 17, from 3-7 p.m., is the first in a series of fundraisers designed to enable us to complete the purchase of the Sacred Earth Land. Our vision for this land is to continue its use for Cultural and Spiritual work that enhances all of Tucson’s communities. Join us to dance and experience global music: come to enjoy a taste of food from the Maya-Lenca Indigenous peoples of Honduras.
Baba Marimba is a hot new world beat dance band in Tucson, Arizona. Baba Marimba is all about joy and movement. Baba Marimba plays African, Middle Eastern, Cuban, Brazilian, World Beat and originals that make you jump out of your chair and dance!
Little House of Funk
Little House of Funk plays a unique blend of music best described as Cactus Country Soul. Connie Brannock on vocals and cajon, James Anderson on bass, sax and banjo and Mike Polletta on guitar.
The Sacred Earth community is on 4.2 acres of pristine desert land. For the past several years many have come to reconnect with Mother Earth and her healing. We envision the continual use and preservation of this land to support the Spiritual nourishment of all people. Our intentional path is: to host music events, to provide youth the opportunity to connect with their inner spirit while participating in retreats and camping, to share knowledge of the permacultural systems to grow food. We will also organize trade events that support small businesses, worker-owned cooperatives and to create an opportunity for diverse communities to sell their products or services.
