Earth Day Ecopsychology Workshop
Sat, April 22, 2017, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM CDT
Ecopsychology is a study in our interconnectedness with the earth and all its organisms. It has roots related to traditional Buddhist philosophies, and helps us to be more mindful about the footprint we leave on our world. During this 2 hour workshop we will explore what Ecopsychology is and explore our symbiotic relationship with the earth.
This class will be led by Kelly Keisler, who holds a Master’s degree from Naropa Institute, the only accredited Buddhist University in the United States, set in lovely in Boulder, CO. She will lead a discussion about ways to connect and relate to the world around us, and lead a mindfulness/meditation activity (possibly at Wilson Park, weather permitting).
Ecopsychology blends psychology and ecology together to provide a healing context in the human-nature relationship. If you’re seeking to help heal the divide between human beings and the natural world come join by exploring your connectedness with the earth and world around you!
Registration required 48 hours prior.
