Earth Day 2013 Craft Swap and Celebration
Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (PDT)
The Makery is proud to present The First Annual Earth Day 2013 Craft Swap + Celebration!
We invite you to join us for an enjoyable afternoon celebration that promotes sustainable crafting and creative reuse of unwanted craft supply items.
How it works: Bring in any unwanted, unused craft items to donate to our craft swap. You'll receive a certain number of tickets, determined by the value of your donation to then use to 'purchase' other craft items! Refresh your craft supply cabinet while also keeping unwanted items out of the landfill. Any left over craft supply items will be donated to the Long Beach Depot for Creative ReUse.
In addition to the craft swap fun, we will be hosting a DIY seed-bomb station, and an Earth Day craft party + upcycled succulent planter/terrarium workshop from 1:00pm-3:00pm.
Please register via Eventbrite for either the craft swap or the craft party* We are requesting a suggested $5 donation per swap attendant but please don't let the lack of available funds stop you from attending. Contribute what you can, if you can :)
Each guest will receive a free issue of GreenCraft Magazine courtesy of Stampington & Company.
