Earth Data: A Sustainable Chicago 2015 Celebration
Join the City of Chicago and our partners, with Chief Sustainability Officer, Chief Data Officer, the Institute for Cultural Affars, Little Village Environmental Justice Organization, and others to hear how sustainability and Big Data are driving Chicago’s work to tackle climate change and advance the city of the future.
This event will be a celebration of our community's and City's accomplishments in making Chicago greener and a discussion of the remaining challenges and the 'made in Chicago' solutions that the community, in partnership with government, can produce.
When: Monday, April 22
- 6:00 PM: Discussion, including Sustainable Chicago 2015's 6-month update!
- 7:30 PM: Sustainable drinks, network and provide feedback
Where: Chicago Cultural Center, (78 E. Washington), Preston Bradley Ball Room
There’s more! On Earth Day, April 22, Mayor Emanuel will launch the Chicago Cleanweb Challenge, a series of competitions to increase sustainability through advanced data analysis. The first competition, the Earth Data: Hackathon will take place later in the week on Friday, April 26 through Sunday, April 28. See earthdatahackathon.eventbrite.com for additional details.
