DESCRIPTION Have you heard all the buzz about metal clays? Have you wondered what it's like to create with them? This will be the simplest, most fun, yet low-key introduction possible where, in three hours, each participant will create lovely, unique, art jewelry: fine silver (.999) earrings!
PLEASE NOTE: Pieces will be fired after class, and available for pick-up at Artsmiths one week later.
INSTRUCTOR For the past decade Carol Scheftic has been working with and teaching classes using a range of different “powder metallurgy” techniques. Carol has been certified as a metal clay Artisan by Rio Grande (a major jewelry supply company and importer of the PMC-brand of precious metal clays) and accredited as an Instructor in a program organized by Hadar Jacobson (USA-based inventor, manufacturer, and distributor of a line of base metal clays). She is a member of the Cranberry Artists Network, the Pittsburgh Society of Artists, and the International Guild of Miniature Artisans.
SKILL LEVEL ALL - Beginners welcome! Those with previous experience may learn new techniques through this project.

CLASS MINIMUM 4 students.
REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY Our instructors require a minimum number of students to teach. In order to minimize cancellations that inconvenience our instructors and other students, class cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to the start of class. Students who comply with this requirement will receive a full refund. Students who do not comply will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
