Draw and color the first flowers of your Spring garden - tulips, daffodils or perhaps the blooming wildflowers of Point Reyes National Seashore. Colored pencils are fun, easy to learn and easy to use and a wonderful way to express your inner artist. They are also slow, calming and meditative. We will focus on color theory, value and color application. Learn basics techniques including blending, burnishing , underpainting and impressed line while using botanical drawing methods. We will work in the classroom with a seasonal variety of flowers and lunch outdoors if weather permits. All levels welcome.

Point Reyes National Seashore Association (PRNSA) is a cooperating association of the National Park Service. We work in partnership with Point Reyes National Seashore and the public to preserve, restore and maintain wildlife habitat, trails, and historic sites in our beautiful coastal park. Our year-round environmental education programs help children and adults deepen their understanding of nature and inspire the next generation of park stewards.
