Description

This Training is devoted to introducing the concepts of early literacy development. There will be discussion about the components of early literacy that includes: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Participants will learn how to implement best practices that are based on the current research. This training is over the course of 2 days (JANUARY 17, JANUARY 31) and in each we will stress the importance of sharing information with parents.

  • Literacy-Rich Learning Environments
  • Oral Language & Phonological Awareness
  • Book Knowledge (Age Appropriate/High Quality Books)
  • Story Times that Enhance Vocabulary & Comprehension
  • Alphabetic Principle & Writing

Target Audience: Home Visitor, Child Development Specialist and anyone working with Parents and Children

Must attend both days of trainings
