Event description

Description

When embedded within a continuum of services, early identification of learning or behavioral difficulties can result in improved academic and social/emotional outcomes among preschool and school-age students. In this session, a number of evidence-based practices that can be used for early identification of learning or behavioral difficulties in preschool and school age students will be described. Additionally, broader ethical and practical issues related to the integration of these practices into a continuum of services will be presented. Finally, implications for selecting appropriate assessment instruments and screening tools, identifying red flags and effective evidence-based interventions will be discussed.

Participants arriving late (i.e., 16 minutes or more after the start time) for this event will not obtain credit for attending the event. Please plan travel and parking time accordingly.
