About this Event

Well-Ahead Louisiana believes providing a healthy start is critical so that every child has a healthy future. At Well-Ahead, our goal is to work with early childhood professionals and communities to create environments that support a healthy childhood.

Nemours Healthy Kids Healthy Future provided funding to Well-Ahead Louisiana to strengthen existing, state or community level efforts to promote healthy eating, physical activity, breastfeeding, and reduced screen time among children in ECE settings.

Well-Ahead Louisiana is eager to highlight the great strides early childhood professionals have taken to enhance the outdoor learning environment provided to children in early learning settings. On Thursday, April 24, 2020, join Nancy Alexander, the director of Northwestern State University’s Child and Family network, as she presents on successes in creating outdoor learning environments in Louisiana. In addition, content experts in outdoor play and learning will share innovative and emerging strategies to enhance outdoor learning environments.

Don’t miss out on this rich opportunity to connect with and learn from your counterparts. Creating stimulating places for play, outdoor learning and environmental education supports a healthy start to make a difference in the lives of the children in Louisiana.
