Description

EAGLE’S SPIRIT TOTEM POLE RISES AT NORTHWEST HOSPITAL

Northwest Hospital is deeply honored to be the recipient of a spectacular new totem pole, carved by world-famous Tsimshian artist, David Boxley, in memory of his sister-in-law Cindy Sue James. James lost her battle to cancer at Northwest Hospital last fall. Before her death, she and Boxley conceived of a totem pole to honor her legacy, thank the hospital for its outstanding care, and pay tribute to all cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.

Please join us for a traditional unveiling ceremony and performance, as David Boxley and his Native Alaskan Git Hoan dance troupe install the 27-foot, western red cedar totem in a place of honor on the hospital campus.
