Come learn about e-textiles and wearable electronics at the Belk Library! Using LilyPad Arduino, we will create projects with LED lights and conductive thread. Unless familiar with circuitry, it is recommended that each participant take "E-textiles I" first or contact Hannah Pope for the necessary preliminary infomation. We will teach you about LilyPad arduino, give a brief lesson on coding with the arduino platform, and then have time for creating your garment. All you need to bring is a piece of clothing, a pillow, a felt bookmark, or any other fabric object that you would like to enhance with LED lights. We will provide each participant with a LilyPad, battery pack, conductive thread, and LED lights. All of this will be free to take home with you! We only have a limited number of materials, so sign up before the spots are gone! This event is open to all students at Appalachian State University.
If you sign up, but are unable to make it to the event, let Hannah Pope know as soon as possible so that another person is able to take that spot. Her email is: firstname.lastname@example.org
We hope you join us!
