Description

It is estimated that 15-20% of the population has dyslexia or another reading disability. They struggle reading, writing, remembering, listening or expressing themselves clearly. Dyslexia affects every aspect of life --- imagine those struggles as you go to school, work, grocery shop, or even “talk story” with your friends. In this presentation you will learn:

  • Characteristics of dyslexia

  • Why dyslexic children struggle with schoolwork

  • Strategies, tips and resources to help dyslexic children navigate for success in the classroom and beyond

AUDIENCE: People interested in learning more about dyslexia and how to help children who struggle to read, including: parents, grandparents, teachers, tutors
