THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN INCREASING THEIR AWARENESS AND EFFICACY AROUND ISSUES OF POWER AND INFLUENCE.

THE FRAMEWORK CAN BE APPLIED TO ORGANIZATIONAL, COMMUNITY AND PERSONAL CONTEXTS.

WE WILL WORK EXPERIENTALLY WITH THESE CONCEPTS AND OFFER BOTH THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL TOOLS FOR POSITIVE CHANGE.

OUTCOMES:

  • LEARN ABOUT THE DIFFERING AND CONNECTING ELEMENTS OF PERSONAL AGENCY: ASSETS, RANK, CONFIDENCE AND STATUS BEHAVIOUR
  • UNDERSTAND HOW AGENCY IS INFORMED BY INSTITUTIONAL AND SYSTEMIC POWER DYNAMICS: ie. CULTURE, RACE, GENDER AND CLASS
  • EXPLORE OUR INNER EXPERIENCES AND EXTERNAL RESPONSES TO THESE PHENOMENA
  • DEVELOP PRACTICAL WAYS TO SHIFT THESE DYNAMICS FOR MORE CONSTRUCTIVE AND INTENTIONAL INTERACTIONS


FACILITATORS:

Simo Routarinne is one of the world’s leaders in status training. Based in Finland, he is an interaction designer, Creative Director at Improvment Ltd. and a professional improviser. He works with groups all over the world helping individuals and organizations improve relations, creativity and productivity.

Barbara Tint is a U.S. Professor of Conflict Resolution and international trainer, facilitator and consultant. She travels the world using experiential methods and applied improvisation helping people understand, resolve and transform dynamics of power, conflict and intercultural relations.
