Victoria Livschitz's talk details:

Title: "Conversational commerce: emerging architectures for smart & useful chatbots"

Abstract: Smart speakers and messaging apps are increasing in popularity due to their convenience, intuitive usage, and new user experiences. Companies are racing to develop voice interfaces and AI technologies in order to utilize smart speakers and messaging platforms as a sales channel.

We are introducing Grid Genie, a completely open source, multi-device, conversational commerce platform. With this technology, we can help you engineer a powerful platform to combine your Alexa skills, Google actions, and Facebook Messenger into a single seamless experience.

About Victoria Livschitz:

Victoria Livschitz founded Grid Dynamics in 2006 in order to bring big, new ideas — open source, clouds, and big data — to large enterprises. Under her leadership, Grid Dynamics became a successful, fast-growing engineering IT services company known for transformative, mission-critical cloud solutions for the retail, finance, and technology sectors. In 2015, Victoria transitioned to the role of Chief Technology Officer.

Binoy Das's talk details:

Title: "Building a conversational business intelligence bot with Amazon Lex"

Abstract: Conversational interfaces are transforming the way people interact with software applications and services. They are untethering people from keyboards and smartphone gestures by replacing those interfaces with a more natural style of interaction: the spoken word. Increasingly, people are opting to interact with a bot when they need an answer to a question, to set a reminder, or to obtain a product or service. In this session, we’re going to explore how you can implement a business intelligence (BI) chatbot using Amazon Lex, that can respond to user questions about data in a database, by converting the questions into backend database queries, and transforming the result sets into natural language responses.

About Binoy Das:

Binoy has 13 years of progressive experience. He’s worked on everything from hands-on roles involving system analysis, design, and development, to more technology strategy-oriented roles. With such a wide range of experiences, he is able to assume a holistic view to arrive at solutions ensuring IT and business alignment.

Tony Lusk's talk details:

Title: "Moving Conversational bots off Your Product Roadmap And Into Your Workstreams"

Abstract: 88% of AI projects end up not making it into production. Discover how Google Dialogflow, built by Google Cloud AI, can help you inject Conversational AI into your workstreams to delight your customers and clients. Working with Google solutions can help address real world problems in various industries so AI initiatives do not end up sitting on a shelf.

About Tony Lusk:

Tony is a Google Cloud customer engineer based out of Seattle, WA who works at the intersection of PaaS, IaaS, Data platforms and ML. His extensive experience in the Analytics and ERP space brings a unique perspective to architect creative value-driven solutions for customers on the Google Cloud platform. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, and in the wintertime, he can often be found up on the ski slopes.
