Victoria Livschitz's talk details:

Title: "Conversational commerce: emerging architectures for smart & useful chatbots"

Abstract: Smart speakers and messaging apps are increasing in popularity due to their convenience, intuitive usage, and new user experiences. Companies are racing to develop voice interfaces and AI technologies in order to utilize smart speakers and messaging platforms as a sales channel.

We are introducing Grid Genie, a completely open source, multi-device, conversational commerce platform. With this technology, we can help you engineer a powerful platform to combine your Alexa skills, Google actions, and Facebook Messenger into a single seamless experience.

About Victoria Livschitz:

Victoria Livschitz founded Grid Dynamics in 2006 in order to bring big, new ideas — open source, clouds, and big data — to large enterprises. Under her leadership, Grid Dynamics became a successful, fast-growing engineering IT services company known for transformative, mission-critical cloud solutions for the retail, finance, and technology sectors. In 2015, Victoria transitioned to the role of Chief Technology Officer.

Christopher Michailov-Lee's talk details:

Title: "Designing Voice Commerce with the Customer Journey in Mind"

Abstract: A common misperception is that simply creating a voice commerce app by mimicking the existing online experience will open up new revenue streams. Instead, a company needs to invest time into evaluating the ideal customer journey and understand how a customer would need to interact with a voice app. This often uncovers unique situations that a normal eCommerce channel does not need to address and sometimes presents challenges when designing a conversational model. This talk will examine approaches to addressing some common issues during the design process.

About Christopher Michailov-Lee:

Christopher Michailov-Lee has been in product management for over a decade, and has managed a variety of technology solutions through various industries, including Amazon and UnitedHealth Group. He currently serves as a Senior Product Manager for FTD, Inc, a Chicago-based eCommerce company who has been in the business of delivering bouquets and gifts to customers in the U.S. and the U.K. for over 100 years. His areas of interest include: online payment platforms, IoT, Machine Learning and Voice & eCommerce delivery channels. He believes that any digital product can see success when the behavior and expectations of the end-user is taken into account when designing a new solution.

Rachel Levy's talk details:

Title: "Dialogflow Chat Experiences: Best Practices for Intent Detection // Measuring Metrics that Matter"

Abstract: With many low or no-code chatbot building experiences on the market - it is easier than ever to build a chatbot. Unfortunately, the ease of access to tools, while great for democratizing AI capabilities, does not necessarily enforce best practices that enable the best customer experience.

This talk will walk through the best practices and first steps of building a chatbot that enhances the customer experience by focusing on intent detection. It will also emphasize metrics that are important to measure the performance of the bot and how those metrics interact. In starting small and focusing on the right intents/validation metrics, the chances of successfully deploying a customer-centric bot will become more attainable.
