Dynamic Mindfulness is The Niroga Institutes evidence-based, trauma-informed, stress resilience practice that has been embraced by professionals in this country for over a decade. Dynamic Mindfulness is an intersection of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation practices that are accessible and help create and manage environments for wellness and recovery. This practice includes mindful movements, breathing techniques, and meditation practices, which, when integrated, are essential for managing stress, self-care, and healing from personal and secondary trauma.

Learn dynamic mindfulness for both personal and professional stress resilience. This practice helps you to improve emotional regulation and increase well-being. In these classes, you will find different tools that are quickly accessible and easily implemented throughout the day.


In this two-day* immersive training you will have the opportunity to experience Niroga's Transformative Life Skills Curriculum – a scientifically validated, 440-page curriculum comprised of 48 scripted 15-minute Dynamic Mindfulness lessons that can be facilitated in diverse settings, with individuals or groups.

*You can sign up for one day or both. Please know that Day 1: Dynamic Mindfulness Foundation (DMF) is a prerequisite for Day 2: Dynamic Mindfulness Teacher Training.

Through practice teaching, group discussion, and expert support you will gain confidence to successfully lead Dynamic Mindfulness with students, clients, families, colleagues, and more.

This training is based on our comprehensive, CASEL approved curriculum. Participants will receive a copy of the curricuum as part of this training.


Day One - Dynamic Mindfulness Foundations Training - 1/27/2018 9:00am - 4:00pm

This introductory training is for anyone interested in learning about Social and Emotional Learning practices that enhance self-control, learning readiness, and pro-social behavior. The Dynamic Mindfulness Foundation training will give you powerful stress management tools that lead to successful outcomes for both you and your students.

Dynamic Mindfulness Foundation focuses on your self-care as the first step in sharing these valuable Transformative Life Skills with students. You will learn why it is essential to heal before you teach.

In this course, you will gain the skills to incorporate a Dynamic Mindfulness practice into your life. This will provide you with the ability to better manage stress and enjoy greater well-being.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify personal stressors and coping mechanisms.
  • Utilize tools to manage stress and practice better self-control.
  • Understand and explain the impact of chronic stress on the brain and behavior.
  • Understand the scientific basis of how Dynamic Mindfulness works.
  • Describe how Dynamic Mindfulness can help ease the effects of trauma, including secondary trauma.
  • Apply trauma-informed instruction to their Dynamic Mindfulness protocol.
  • Facilitate a 15-minute Dynamic Mindfulness practice that can be done anytime, anywhere.


Day Two - Dynamic Mindfulness Teacher Training - 1/28/2017 9:00am - 4:00pm

In this immersive training, you will gain in-depth knowledge about Niroga's Transformative Life Skills Curriculum, a scientifically validated mindfulness program that improves stress resilience, emotion regulation and prosocial behavior. The curriculum covers 48 scripted Dynamic Mindfulness lessons that can be facilitated in many different settings, with both individuals and groups.

Through practice teaching and with expert support you will be able to lead Dynamic Mindfulness with students, clients, families, and colleagues. You will also deepen your own Dynamic Mindfulness practice of mindful movement, breathing, and centering.

The Dynamic Mindfulness Teacher Training builds upon the Dynamic Mindfulness Foundations training, a prerequisite for this course.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the benefits of Dynamic Mindfulness as a tool for stress management, self-care, and healing from trauma.
  • Describe how Dynamic Mindfulness can help children, adolescents and adults increase attention and self-control as well as manage stress.
  • Design a lesson or client session that includes the Dynamic Mindfulness ABCs for the specific needs of a class, student, or client.
  • Apply appropriate interventions for student or client stress response of fight, flight or freeze.
  • Apply trauma-informed instruction to their Dynamic Mindfulness protocol.
  • Facilitate a 15-minute Dynamic Mindfulness protocol.
  • Create an implementation plan to integrate Dynamic Mindfulness into their professional practice.
