Learn about Consumer Wearable Products through iterative design and development in a one-day, hands-on workshop. Stephanie Battista, Industrial Designer and founder of Humanity Innovation Labs will guide you through the complexity of smart technologies and on-body systems to demystify the ambiguity of wearables. The goal is to provide a collaborative, interactive team experience that allows you to learn about the behind scenes design and development experience of R+D. Which translates to tangible learning that can be applied within your innovation teams.
Through industrial design, UI/UX, and textile integration techniques processes you will access the physical materials and digital tools used in industry for developing wearable systems. You will have the opportunity to story board usage scenarios and mock-up low-fiedlty prototypes through a variety of physical and digital tools and r+d processes to test the validity of your ideas in real-time.
This workshop is targeted to industry leaders in product design, UX, apparel, and innovation who are interested in combining these areas of expertise into united products for lifestyle, fitness and enhanced optimal performance. All materials and prototyping equipment is provided. Open to 25 participants.
Creativity- and analysis- inducing morning and afternoon re-fueling is provided.
