Event Details

Join EarthCorps, King Conservation District, Green Seattle Partnership, and Duwamish Alive Coalition as we restore important forest habitat along Longfellow Creek. Longfellow creek is the second largest salmon-bearing creek in Seattle. Every year, salmon return to the creek but few make it all the way to spawning due to threatened habitat. This where we need your help! We are working to restore the habitat along the creek as well as in adjacent greenspaces to improve water quality and provide habitat. We would love to teach you more, so join us! This Duwamish Alive! event is part of the Green Seattle Partnership’s effort to restore Seattle’s forested park land in the city.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Volunteers will be working all around the park planting, weeding, and mulching to help this forest stay healthy.
