UPDATE - 12.01.22: The Dust 'em Off is about getting out on fatbikes to launch the winter riding season regardless of conditions. Given the predicted weather, it appears we'll be hosting a gravel and double track ride on fatbikes among some scattered showers. We're not deterred, nor should you be. Rolling gravel roads through beautiful stick season vistas, plus your friendly faces, equals good times! Let's crack the preverbal bottle of Champaign over the hull of the 2022-23 season together! We'll keep you posted here as to what to expect next...
--
In classic MTBVT fashion we've engineered yet another reason to party on two wheels. What's the occasion? It's the end of dirt season and the beginning of fatbiking! Dust off your fatbike and join us for the official launch of winter 22-23 high volume, low pressure riding!
The day will bring an organized ride for all abilities from MTBVT's brick and mortar HQ, Ranch Camp. We'll escort you on a local fatbike safari. The rout is weather and conditions dependent and may including some singletrack, doubletrack, dirt road, cow path, paved crossings, perhaps some bike-leaning-on-fence-posts, and most definitely some remote aid station debauchery. We are riding even if there is no snow so worse case scenario we're fatbike weirdos on a gravel ride together. Fun will be had regardless!
Stay after the event for après fun and the launch of the MTBVT X 14th Star collab beer, Low Pressure, a dry hopped IPA celebrating winter cycling! We'll have fire pits roaring and both the Backyard and Ranch Camp will be open for business as usual.
So, in closing, expect about 18ish miles of riding. Some cold brews, hot cider, stellar food and one hell of a good time!
