“Picture This:” a world of peace, love, and cinema at the 5th annual Dunedin International Film Festival (DIFF). DIFF 2023 is presented by the St. Pete Clearwater Film Commission, screening 50 films over four days this January. With film categories including comedy, documentary, horror, Claymation, short films, and more, there’s something for everyone!
The HOB’s Pop-Up Garden Theater will host Thursday’s opening night films focusing on conservation and our environment. Enjoy the world premiere of Beacon City, a short documentary about the creation of the Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot, along with other short films and music by DJ Back Bone. Stick around for the Opening Night Filmmaker party hosted by The Nest at CaraCara.

Spend Friday the 13th at Moon Tower’s Pop-Up Theater for an evening of oddly unique films and activities and a block of horror films sure to have you looking over your shoulder on the way to your car. Friday the 13th wouldn’t be complete without a performance from the Witches of Dunedin! And, back by popular demand, the cult classic, Slimed returns for a FREE screening. The Dunedin VFW Pop-Up Theater hosts an afternoon of short films and feature documentary, MY SISTER LIV from Grammy Award-winning director Alan Hicks and Academy Award-winning producer Paula DuPré Pesmen. This film takes us into the intimate journey of a young life on the edge, finding healing through hope. The TD Ballpark has joined forces with DIFF and will screen a block of family-friendly short films along with the timeless Mission Blue, a documentary film about oceanographer and
Dunedinite, Dr. Sylvia Earle. Friday and Saturday wrap with the official After Party hosted by The Nest at CaraCara. Entry is free to VIP and All Access Pass holders; otherwise, admission is $15. Saturday the 14th offers a full day of events and opportunities. Sign up to tour filming locations with the St. Pete Clearwater Film Commission. Hop aboard the Jolley Trolley and learn about famous filming locations throughout Pinellas County. The HOB Garden Theater hosts filmmaker workshops and panels featuring local actress Eugenie Bondurant and filmmaker Victoria Jorgensen during the day and a block of short films from local filmmakers in the evening. The Moon Tower Theater will screen Surviving PULSE, a documentary about the PULSE tragedy in Orlando, Florida. DIFF celebrates ocean conservation on Saturday night with performances by Jesse Ray Stout and Danielle Moore at the HOB Garden Theater.
Join us Sunday from 11 am - 4 pm at Moon Tower for a final day of matinee films before heading out to the evening’s RedCarpet Gala and Awards Ceremony! The Fenway Autograph Collection Hotel hosts the Red Carpet and Awards Ceremony on Sunday, January 15th, from 4:30 pm8 pm. This glamorous black-tie event is brought to you by The Katie Whitney Team and Geria Realty. Tickets are $125 and include access to the Red Carpet from 4:30 pm-6 pm, the Awards Ceremony, and the open bar from 6 pm-8 pm. Red Carpet and Award ceremony passes are included in the VIP package.
