UF/IFAS Extension Pinellas County will be conducting an economic impact study of the Dunedin Downtown Market in order to measure the contribution the market makes to the local economy. This Market is located in Pioneer Park (420 Main St.) at the corner of Main Street and Douglas Avenue in the Downtown district of Dunedin.
Volunteers are needed at the market to accurately count the number of patrons the market has and to administer short surveys to gather the data on both study dates. The results of these surveys will provide information on both the direct sales made during the farmer’s market and the indirect impact that those sales have through an economic multiplier effect.
Two types of volunteers are needed: counters (low interaction with market customers) and survey takers (high interaction with market customers). Be sure to select the option for which type of position you would like when registering. If you would like more information on the responsibilities, email email@example.com.
Morning shift volunteers will work from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Afternoon shift volunteers will work from 11:15 AM to 2:15 PM. Volunteers will receive more information about where to meet within the market via Eventbrite notification.
If the specified times do not work for your schedule but you would still like to participate email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an alternate schedule. We are flexible, we just need to know when to expect you!
Note that you will need to register separately for each date that you plan to volunteer in order to continue to receive updates and communications.
