Event description

Description

Hosted as part of the BFPG's National Engagement Programme, this event will connect local, national & wider UK perspectives from business, arts and culture, manufacturing and civil society, to discuss how Dundee can leverage its soft power, and international engagement and investment priorities after Brexit.

Our first panel will look at 'Dundee's Place in the World', exploring and assessing Dundee's place in the world and its perspective on UK foreign policy. It will examine Dundee's perspective as to what Scottish international and UK foreign policy priorities should be, and how they can be achieved.

Our second panel will explore 'Telling Dundee's Story'. Drawing on local soft power organisations, the panel will explore how Dundee and the nation of Scotland can best tell its story to the world, and how these organisations can contribute to this, boosting the international standing of Dundee, and through this boosting that of Scotland and the wider UK.

We encourage local representatives from a range of sectors to attend and share their insights and priorities as part of a lively debate.
