Grappling refers to techniques, maneuvers, and counters applied to an opponent in order to gain a physical advantage, such as improving relative position, escaping, submitting, or injury to the opponent. The technique has more or less similarity characteristic with wrestling techniques and is commonly associated to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
For the very first time, Dumau, a grappling tournament circuit running in between Japan, Korea, China, Philippines & Thailand, will take place in Singapore as one of the major programs in the Multi-Disciplinary Sports & Fitness Competition and EXPO 2016.
The 2 days program, hosted by Grapple Asia, expected to attract over 500 athletes, contestants judges and officials to the arena. “Over 200 grapplers for Nogi, and over 250 for Gi can be expected in Damau Singapore” said Derrick Fonsah, Founder of Grappler Asia Group.
