We're going to Gooseberry Falls State Park. This is for middle and high school age youth with little to no previous climbing experience. Participants will be introduced to winter climbing: safety, gear, and techniques. The smallest rental boots commonly available start at a EU size 37. This equates to a US Mens 5 or 5.5, US Wmns 6 or 6.5. If the boot fits... sign up for this clinic! This is meant to be an introductory clinic at a location where it is likely that more climbers try out ice climbing for the first time than any other location in the state. We will meet at the welcome center at Gooseberry State Park. Transportation and food is up to the participant. Contact Kyra at kbremer@d.umn.edu to coordinate rentals.
