Duke Ellington - Ragtime to Post-bop - Pat Davey Quartet
Sat, May 6, 2017, 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM BST
The Pat Davey Quartet explore Duke Ellington’s massive legacy with the intimacy and freedom of a small group of exceptional jazz musicians of international repute. This musical project was especially created in 2017 for the Oxted and Limpsfield Music Society. The Quartet came to Limpsfield in April 2014 and it’s bound to be another sell-out in our new venue.
The line-up is Pat Davey on drums; Andrea di Biase on double bass; Arthur Lea on piano; Jon Shenoy on saxophone and clarinet. Pat is a vastly experienced session musician, composer and arranger currently in London teaching jazz at both the Academy of Contemporary Music and Trinity College of Music. His playing career has taken him all over the world - New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Cape Town etc.
