About this event
Join us for a Lunch and Learn: DUI's: A Serious Mental health Challenge for Our Clients, on January 19, 2023 from 12pm-1:30pm. 1.5 SW Ceu's Awarded!
Presenter Janet Vogelsang, LISW-CP, BCD, will discuss the special issues involved in treating DUI clients and how to uncover the trauma. If you testify in court, this program will also address important mitigating issues for testimony.
Description: This program is meant to share new opportunities for private practitioners to add a specialty to their practice and one that respects and rewards the social worker who wants to enhance their career. For private practitioners, it is a satisfying and financially positive way to add to your current caseload. If you are with an agency, you will learn new skills that will help you in making a difference to stop drunk driving. Most impatient and outpatient programs in the US, offer no special treatment for DUI's. It is an underserved area that gives us the chance to do meaningful prevention and to advocate for our profession.
An email will be sent to you with a link to join the training after you register!
