Re-Discover Dudley, History in the Making!
Dudley Sq. Walk - Thursday, May 8, 2014 - 5:00-7:00pm
WalkBoston is teaming up with Mayor Martin J. Walsh and seven community organizations to host a walk in Dudley Square on May 8, 2014. The walk will highlight the varied community development, private redevelopment and public projects that are creating a renaissance in Dudley Square. Mayor Walsh will offer brief remarks about the City’s role and efforts in Dudley at the reception.
The neighborhood co-hosts are ACE, Boston Housing Authority, Discover Roxbury, Dudley Square Main Streets, Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative, Madison Park Development Corporation and Nuestra Comunidad.
The walk will include brief presentations about the Tropical Foods grocery store now under construction, the redevelopment of the Ferdinand Building, the reclamation of Bartlett Yard as a mixed use, mixed income project, and the Roxbury community garden. Each of the co-hosts will also provide information about their ongoing activities at the reception.
Meet at 5pm at Hibernian Hall, 184 Dudley Street, Boston, MA 02119. The walk and reception are open to the public and will take place from 5-7pm.

Red Line –
Take the Red Line to Park Street Station. At Park Street Station transfer to the Green Line – E Trolley headed toward Heath Street. Please see Bus routes below.
Take the Red Line to Downtown Crossing. At Downtown Crossing transfer to the Orange Line headed toward Forest Hills Station. Get off at Ruggles Station (0.9mi to destination), Roxbury Crossing (0.7mi to destination) or Jackson Square (1.21-1.39mi to destination). Please see Bus routes below.
Take the Red Line to South Station. At South Station transfer to the Silver Line headed to Dudley Station.
Blue Line –
Take the Blue Line to State Street Station and transfer to the Orange Line headed toward Forest Hills Station. Get off at Ruggles Station (0.9mi to destination), Roxbury Crossing (0.7mi to destination) or Jackson Square (1.21-1.39mi to destination). Please see Bus routes below.
Orange line –
Take the Orange Line headed toward Forest Hills Station and get off at one of the following:
Ruggles Station – Approximately a 0.9mi walk to Hibernian Hall. *From Ruggles Station you can take the following to get to Dudley Station: Bus 47, Bus 28
Roxbury Crossing – Approximately a 0.7mi walk to Hibernian Hall. *From Roxbury Crossing Station you can take the following to get to Dudley Station: Bus 66
Jackson Square Station– Approximately a 1.21–1.39mi walk to Hibernian Hall. *From Jackson Square Station you can take the following to get to Dudley Station: Bus 65, Bus 66

Green Line –
Take to E trolley toward Heath Street and get off at Brigham Circle. Approximately a 1.21mi walk to Hibernian Hall. (Alternate - Bus 66).

By Public Transportation: MTBA Orange line to Ruggles and buses 15, 23, 28, and 45 connect you to Dudley Station. Walk up Dudley Street towards the fire station, Hibernian Hall will be immediately on your left.
