A word from the artist:
My work is a representation of two entities of which I am comprised. The entity that explores my relationship with God and the entity that explores how I relate to myself as an artist. My work often provides a narrative for each entity. Through my relationship with God there is a constant battle as I struggle with the concept of dying to myself every day in the pursuit of a better relationship with Christ. Every day I fail and every day I see another opportunity to be better and to grow stronger in His word. Every day I learn how to live better morally and how to view my turmoil or transgressions as triumphs. In regards to my relationship with myself as an artist, I am often exploring the social standings that led me to where I am artistically; the way I was influenced as an artist emotionally and how it translates itself artistically through colors and abstract visuals. Though I constantly try to keep both entities separate, they continuously influence one another and I see the manifestation of a gradual progression into one.
