Description

DU Women’s Coalition Spring 2017 Town Hall: Equity in the Workplace

Workplace equity is an issue that affects women across their lifespan – from first jobs, through mid-career, and into retirement – and extends beyond questions of basic pay equity.

Join the DU Women’s Coalition and DU professor Dr. Nancy Reichman for an interactive discussion on Equity in the Workplace, with particular focus on three key areas that affect women:

  • Organizational Culture

  • Family-Friendly Policies

  • Career Advancement

Dr. Reichman, a mayoral appointee to the Denver Women’s Commission and former chair of the Colorado Pay Equity Commission, will share her expertise from both experience and research perspectives, followed by small group facilitated discussions among Town Hall attendees.

The DU Women’s Coalition Town Hall, including lunch, will be held from 11am-1pm in AAC 290, with the program beginning promptly at 11:30am.

Dr. Nancy Reichman is a Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology and Director of the Socio-Legal Studies Program at DU. She has written articles and books on a number of topics including pay equity, gender and workplace regulation, white-collar crime, sports regulation, and global environmental regulation. She is also the Research Director for the Colorado Women’s College Collaboratory.
