Event Details

In order to refine your assessment skills, this overview will highlight the changes from previous DSM editions. The featured speaker will be Margaret Machlan, LCSW, LCAC. the recent past president of the Fellowship of Christian counselors in Fort Wayne.

Seminar Objectives:

  • Understand revisions to the diagnostic manual
  • Improve Skills in assessing mental health  disorders
  • Review the 20 diagnostic categories of the DSM-5
  • Prepare for the changes in applying assessment of functioning (GAF) and new numbering system

Six (6) hours of continuing education credit will be awarded to those attending the day-long event. Huntington University is an approved continuing education provider through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), provider # 4561. Continuing education is available for Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) in the state of Indiana.
