Event description

Description

Learning a local heritage skill, such as dry stone walling, is an important tool to maintain the cultural traditions of The Glens. More often than not the traditional way of doing things was more sustainable and environmentally friendly than modern techniques. Many believe that these skills will be in great demand in the future and so now is the time to master these crafts. The training course will take place for one day and will include health & safety, types and styles of dry stone walls, site preparation, stone selection and wall building.

Minimum age of 18. Spaces limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
