About this Event

On Saturday 21st September 2019, the Minister for Transport Hon. Rita Saffioti MLA will be officially opening the Drumpellier Drive (New Lord Street) dual carriageway road that connects Reid Highway and Gnangara Road.

A shared path has been built alongside the road and will improve access for people walking and cycling to the new Henley Brook Bus Station and Whiteman Park.

The Minister would like to invite members of the local community to join her for a ride to celebrate the opening. The ride will run along the new shared path, some local roads and finish up at a park in Dayton for light refreshments.

The ride will be approximately 7km one way and each participant will need to supply their own bicycle and helmet and be available between 11.00am and 12.00pm. Participants will need to make their own way to the start and end points.

Places are limited so register your interest here by 1pm Wednesday 18th September 2019. Successful participants will be notified by email with more information about the cycle route and more details no later than Thursday 19th September 2019.
