Drumline at Popcorn Roulette
Event Information
Description
Half-Time is Game Time! We’re watching the 2002 Nick Cannon stadium stomper Drumline. Chock full of intense competitive rhythm and slick choreography, Drumline steals the sports movie genre and mashes it with the percussive barrage of a full marching band. Can a troubled musical genius from Harlem lead his adopted college band to victory? Maybe he can with our help. So let’s grab an instrument, join the band, and make some noise
Earle Welch, who taught drumming in Haverhill to hundreds of students for over 50 years, and is still teaching at Be Imagine Studios, is our special guest for this movie night. We're premiering a quick biopic before the movie dedicated to the man who helped shape much of Haverhill's musical legacy. If you're a student of Earle's, or know someone who is, come on down and help us say thank you!
