Description

Book Launch: Authors of 'Good Cop, Bad War' and 'Legalizing Drugs' in conversation with Thangam Debbonaire MP

Hear Bristol West MP, Thangam Debbonaire in conversation with:

Ex-Sergeant Neil Woods, who will share the shocking experiences from his real-crime book 'Good Cop, Bad War' (optioned by the makers of Line of Duty) that turned him from Britain's most experienced undercover drugs cop, to an ardent campaigner for the legalisation of drugs.

"Good Cop, Bad War is a gripping exposé of the disastrous reality of the drug war" - The Guardian

Local author and world renowned drug expert, Steve Rolles, will then explain 'Legalizing Drugs' drawing on his 20 years' campaigning, and advising the countries already ending their drug wars.

"This book [Legalizing Drugs] brings a welcome dose of pragmatic realism to a debate long dominated by misplaced ideology and knee-jerk politics" - Professor David Nutt

Have your preconceptions tested as Neil, Steve and Thangam discuss why they all believe the best solution to the 'drugs problem' is to legalise drugs.

Join the Q&A on how drug laws affect our community.

This event is part of a week of action - Bristol Takes Drugs Seriously.
