Drug Facts: Substance Use, Misuse & Dependence Among Adolescents

The Texas Juvenile Crime Prevention Center at Prairie View A&M University offers multiple workshops dedicated to enhancing your understanding of substance use, misuse, and dependence - particularly among teens. For this workshop, participants will learn about risk and protective factors, marijuana, stimulants, synthetic drugs, opioids, and prescription drugs. Each two hour session will include current trends in use, the biology/science of the specific drug, and information pertinent to teen use.
