Drug Addiction & Mental Health in the Workplace: Truths & Solutions
Seventy-five percent of those struggling with addiction to alcohol, pain medication, marijuana, and other substances are employed, according to the National Safety Council. Workers with substance use disorders miss nearly 50% more work days than their peers – up to six weeks annually – and absenteeism leads to losses in productivity.
Join us to understand the potential issues related to drug abuse and/or mental health challenges in the workplace. An expert panel from various sectors will discuss:
- recognizing substance abuse in the workplace
- managing with compassion/employer boundaries
- impacts on productivity
- resources available for businesses and affected employees
